The answers to these questions and more will be shared as we explore the art world in Denver with local experts from SCFD (Scientific Cultural and Facilities District), NINE Dot Arts, the Denver Art Museum, the RiNo Art District, The Dikeou Collection and the Children’s Museum.
Networking begins at 5:30 p.m. with light bites and appetizers and then the panel discussion will start at 6:30 p.m.

Deborah Jordy was elected to the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation board in 2015. She is the Executive Director of Scientific & Cultural Facilities District, that distributes funds from a 1/10 of 1% sales and use tax to cultural facilities throughout the seven-county Denver, Colorado metropolitan area. Prior to SCFD, Deborah served as Executive Director of Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA). Deborah has played a prominent role in Colorado’s thriving art scene for the last 30 years, serving on the Denver Mayor’s Commission on Cultural Affairs, the Board of Directors of the Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund, Arts for Colorado, the Colorado Nonprofit Association and the Stapleton Public Arts Advisory Committee.
Dr. Jennifer R. Henneman, Associate Curator at the Petrie Institute of Western American Art at the Denver Art Museum, received her doctoral degree in 19th century British and American Art and Visual Culture at the University of Washington in 2016. Her interdisciplinary transatlantic research, which has taken her from the wilds of the American West to the cosmopolitan streets of London and New York, reflects her own upbringing on a farm and cattle ranch in Montana and her interest in the dominant cultural and artistic spheres of the late Victorian era.
Tracy Weil is co-founder and president of RiNo Art District, and planted his roots in this growing community nearly 20 years ago. A lifelong painter, Weil's work is distinctive for its bold use of color and expressive, playful nature. Known for his savvy in building community through the arts, Weil has fostered vibrant art districts throughout Colorado, including Lakewood and Aurora. A natural collaborator, Weil brings people and art together — with the tenacity of an advocate, the ease of a leader, and the heart of an artist.
Hayley Richardson has 20 years experience working in the arts and has been Director of The Dikeou Collection in Denver since 2016. From managing artist studios and curating exhibitions, to organizing various cultural programs and writing in-depth arts related articles for publication, Hayley has been involved in many facets of the art world. She received her MA in Art History and Museum Studies from the University of Denver and BA (cum laude) in Art History from the University of New Mexico. Though she has a wide range of interests and appreciation for all art, her academic work has primarily focused on American counterculture movements and Pre-Columbian art and architecture of Mexico and Central America.
Gretchen Kerr became Chief Operating Officer at the Children’s Museum in July 2010 after serving as the Vice President of Development and Communications. A member of the staff since 1998, she oversees education, guest services, fundraising and marketing. Most recently Gretchen played a significant role in the Museum’s capital campaign, leading her team in raising $16.3M for expansion and developing the organization’s master plan. Before joining the Museum, she worked for the American Cancer Society and the American Red Cross. Gretchen is a graduate of Leadership Denver, and has served on the board of Girls on the Run, LODO and the Young Philanthropists Foundation. She currently serves on the Association of Children’s Museums program committee. Gretchen also has two daughters that have grown up at the Children’s Museum, 12-year-old AnnaJane, and 15-year-old Zoe.
Molly Casey is a Co-Founder of NINE dot ARTS and works as Chief Curator, overseeing NINE dot ARTS curatorial teams and basically being Chief Vision Officer for all client engagements. Molly loves art for two primary reasons: it makes the world a little more sane and it tells the story of humankind throughout history. After living in Paris as a teen to further her appreciation of art and tiny cups of coffee, Molly enrolled at UC Santa Cruz (Go Banana Slugs!) but soon hightailed it back to her native Colorado home to finish her Sculpture degree at CU Denver. Molly supports the art community by: providing pro bono artist portfolio tutorials and serving as a guest juror for Open Studios at the University of Colorado at Denver and Boulder, being a Board member for Think 360 Arts for Learning, volunteering as a guest presenter at Boulder Art Association, and being a guest presenter and volunteer annual photo reviewer for Colorado Photographic Arts Center (CPAC).
