Join the Denver Business Series and the Colorado chapter of Harvard Business School for an interesting evening learning from a panel of experts about the film industry in Colorado. From movies to commercials to TV shows, we'll hear the behind-the-scenes stories and emerging trends in the field. Networking will be from 5:30 - 6:30 pm and then the panel will begin. Each ticket entitles you to two drinks and light appetizers.

Facilitator:

Erika Dalya Massaquoi is our facilitator and she is a designer and curator. She received her Ph.D. in Cinema Studies from New York University and undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Chicago. Massaquoi has held curatorial positions at the Museum of the Moving Image, The Whitney Museum, and also holds a certificate in Culture, Media and History from NYU.

Panelists:

Shawna Schultz is the co-founder and executive producer at Mass FX Media, the design-forward post-house behind the graphics for the films "The Social Dilemma" (Netflix) and "The Jewel Thief" (Hulu). She and her team serve large brands for video marketing needs and documentary filmmakers with animation, visual effects and finishing.

Donald Zuckerman currently serves as Colorado Film Commissioner, recruited by Governor John Hickenlooper in 2011. He is a member of the Producers Guild of America and has produced eighteen narrative feature films, five documentary features, and a documentary series.

John Van Wyck is the co-founder and executive director of Cine Fe, a creative incubator for Colorado filmmakers, committed to identifying and supporting underrepresented voices. Since 2019, Cine Fe has helped over 85 filmmakers on 93 films, launched a 12-month fellowship program, and completed a four-year study of Colorado's film industry (the Colorado Film Study).
